The black strips that make the basket weave design were made with black iridized glass. This layer is very sparkly when displayed in the light. This fused glass plate will look excellent displayed on a table or on a shelf in a stand! You can use it to serve rolls or cookies, but not anything real messy. The iridized layer is very thin and scrubbing it or using a knife will probably scratch this layer.
