Sandy Mountain Festival

We have another Art Festival in Sandy, Oregon this weekend, July 12-13.  We haven't done this Festival before, so we are looking forward to it!

I am getting ready for this Festival.  Today, I am slumping some projects.  Two of the glass pieces are candle bridges, one is a gorgeous red/orange plate and one is an oval bowl.  I also need to adhere bails to a bunch of glass pendants and glass earrings.

Maybe I will see you at the Sandy Mountain Festival!

Winner of Glass Bowl

I sent Jen C. from California her glass bowl that she won.  We had a Free Drawing for one of our Glass Bowls at our Craft Fair Booth in Ashland, Oregon.  She was the winner of the glass bowl and really excited to have won the glass bowl!

We Bought Lots of Glass in Portland!

After we dropped my mom off at the Portland Airport, we went to Bullseye Glass to buy some glass.  I felt like a kid in a candy shop!  They have so much gorgeous glass and I brought some of it home.

After Bullseye Glass, we went to another Glass Store called Clines.  At this store, we concentrated on buying Spectrum 96 glass.  We got to Clines about an hour before they closed, so we had to hurry to buy the glass that we wanted.  We got some really pretty glass.

I hardly have any room for all the new glass!  I started using some of the glass today.  I made a couple of candle bridges and started cutting circles to make a couple more 10" high vases.  I was having a blast!

Recovering From Art Festival

We are back from the Ashland Art Festival and had one day to relax before going on vacation with my mom.  We had a great Festival and met a lot of nice people.  Ashland is such a neat little city.  The weather was perfect and a lot of people showed up.

Now we need to make more glass pieces to replace the ones we sold! :)  Our next Art Festival is the Sandy Mountain Festival in Sandy, Oregon (near Portland, Oregon) on July 12 and 13th.

Art Festival

We are going to an Art Festival next weekend, June 14-15, 2008, in Ashland, Oregon called MidSummer's Dream, Ashland's Premier Art and Music Festival.  I went to this one last year and did very well and had a lot of fun.  Setting up and breaking down was a lot of work for me, so I am really happy that Dave is coming with me this year!

I have been busy getting ready for this Art Festival.  There are always a lot of little things that need to be done, like putting ear wires on all the new glass earrings I have made and adding all our new glass pieces into inventory.

Hope to see you there!

Christine
