Basket Weave Fused Glass Plate

This Fused Glass Plate is one of my "signature" pieces.  I love making Basket Weave Glass Art, such as Fused Glass Plates and Fused Glass Vases.  I used to weave real baskets with reeds, so this was a natural progression into my Fused Glass Art.

This glass plate was made with black iridized glass cut into strips and fused onto two layers of clear glass.  Iridized glass is very sparkly in bright light.  This fused glass plate looks excellent displayed on a table or on a shelf in a stand!  You can use it to serve rolls or cookies.
