Isn't this a cute bowl? Use it to hold some of your jewelry or use it as a candle holder. Here is another angle of this glass bowl:
I cut 36 1 inch squares and rotated every one 90 degrees. I put a piece of clear glass on top and fused it. After grinding the edges, I fire polished it and then slumped it into a bowl. Glass Bowl measures 5 3/4" square. |

|
______________________________ Slumped Glass is a technique for shaping glass into various shapes, such as Glass Bowls and Plates, Glass Vases and Candle Holders, using molds. One or more layers of glass can be slumped. When the glass is ready for slumping, place the glass on the mold and put it in the kiln and fire it up to 1200 to 1250 degrees. The amount of time that the glass needs to soak at these temperatures depends on the depth of the mold.
