Our Fused Glass Bowls can be used for a variety of things.  The 6-lobed glass bowls are all food safe, so you can show off your lovely glass bowl when company comes over for dinner.  When these glass bowls are not in use, they will look great on display on a shelf.

The other fused glass bowls on these pages can be used for small trinkets or just for display.

These Fused Glass Bowls are made by either Slumping the glass into a mold or Draping the glass down over a mold.

Slumping Glass is a technique for shaping fused glass bowls using a mold.  After the glass is fused and ready to be made into a bowl, the fused glass is placed on the top edges of the mold.  When the glass is heated to 1200 - 1250 degrees, the fused glass softens and "falls" into the mold. 

Draping Glass is another technique for shaping fused glass bowls using a mold. When the fused glass is ready to be made into a bowl, the glass is placed on top of the mold.  When the fused glass is heated, it falls down and around the mold.  The 6-Lobed Fused Glass Bowls on these pages are examples of draping.
