All of our Fused Glass Bowls are slumped into a mold. Slumping Glass is a technique for shaping glass into various shapes, such as Fused Glass Bowls, Fused Glass Plates, Glass Vases and Candle Holders, using molds.  One or more layers of glass can be slumped.  When the glass is ready for slumping, we place the glass on the mold and put it in the kiln and fire it up to 1200 to 1250 degrees. The amount of time that the glass needs to soak at these temperatures depends on the depth of the mold.  For example, Glass Spoon Rests need to soak for almost two hours for the glass to slump all the way into the mold.
